Childhood Memories

Friday night we went out to eat for my moms birthday. The food was great and it is always nice to get together. For some reason, that night after we got home, I was lying in bed, and old memories came to mind. Like the time we were at my Grandma and Grandpas house and I remember it was cold and my older brother and sister were in the back seat of my moms car with me. I was tired of waiting for my mom and dad to come out, so I leaned up, in between the front seats, and pulled on the gear shift. Luckily, the only damage was a squished tricycle, and the garage somehow was saved. Now if you want to get someones, attention, this will do the trick. I was lying there, wondering what must have been going through every ones minds. I have never seen my dad come runnin so fast, and to think my brother and sister just let me do it. They didn't even say a word. Nothing. They even could have grabbed me or smacked me, but they just sat there. Ha, I actually have to laugh out loud on this one. And my mom never learned her lesson either. It wasn't long after that, that my younger sister and I were in that same car waiting for my mom at the babysitters. And once again, I thought I could drive! This time though, I backed over a flower patch. The house wasn't far off either. I must have been such a great driver at an early age that I knew how to scare the bajebies out of everyone, without actually destroying everything in my path. Or at least that is my story! I can remember my preschool graduation. My mom, dad, and I, along with my cousin Adam went to get my dads new truck. My mom also bought me the Heart Family Dolls (like barbie and ken but with babies). I wanted to ride home with my dad so bad, but Adam got to instead. We stopped by my Grandma and Grandpas house, I am not sure why now, and I did get to ride in that truck back to our house. It was a manual, Chevy truck, turquoise in color. Or how about the time we threatened to hang my little sister from the clothes line, or dressed the vacuum up in a flannel shirt and Halloween mask. She seemed to be the brunt of all our torture. I also remember chasing her through the house and up the stairs to stab her in the back with a drawing compass. And to this day, I have no idea what she did to make me so mad, and I am also Thankful I didn't seriously injure her. I can remember when she had surgery along with my dads back surgery. I remember countless Christmas's at my Grandparents impatiently waiting for my mom to get off work so we could open all those presents! It was usually the same scenario at the babysitters, I am not sure how we spend so much time there without permanent residency! I remember the helping throw sand down my sisters pants. ( I told you she took brunt of things) I can also remember a group of us sitting on the propane tank at the end of the drive on a nice day. My mom came to pick us up ( which was surprising to me now since it was still daylight) and one of the kids pushing me off the tank and onto a board with a nail in it. And to make it worse, he came in and made fun of me because I was standing on a chair in the kitchen with my pants around my ankles so they could clean the wound. During the summers when I was a little older, my sisters friend came over and we all got to driver her car around the back roads. And going down to the stream with my brother and sister even though I knew we weren't supposed to. It was such a cool place, but I was always afraid of the water spiders. I remember my dad and brother coming home from somewhere and saying my dog had been hit by a car. I immediately started crying and took off outside behind my dad with a gun in his hand to put the poor thing out of its misery. I thought it was just an excuse to get rid of the dog because he didn't like it. He was cleaning out the wash house one day and my dog got in there behind the stove. He tried getting the husky little puppy out by pushing on him with a broom, and ever since that dog was afraid of people. One summer lighting hit our house and I ran out the back door in my pj's to make sure the sparks I saw didn't catch the house on fire and that dogs brother Cody, came runnin in and my lil sis and I could not get him out. Thankfully the house was ok, other than a blown tv, satellite, and phone, but that dog hated storms. I loved going to my grandparents and my great grandmas as well. She always had an ice cream pail full of frozen cookies in her freezer, and rest assured, she always shared. One summer my brother though it would be a good idea to burn down the grass in the back yard. My lil sis and I watched my brother and sister and mom from the back door frantically running buckets of water from the hydrant to the fire. We just stood there and watched them like it was no big deal even though they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. And the fire department did show up for some reason after the fire was out. My older sister and I carefully unwrapped our Christmas presents one year and then wrapped them back up so my mom wouldn't have a clue we knew what was in them. I also remember when I was quite young, my brother pushin me on a blue and pink big wheel right off the edge of the porch. I believe I was unharmed and escaped hitting the tv antenna but boy was I ever mad. I don't think it helped he was standing there laughing about it! I also remember the one time my mom MADE me and my lil sis stay home from church. Our room was such a mess you couldn't even see the floor. I can not believe what a slob I was, and very much appreciate my OCD to clean now. But it has also gives me a little more respect to my kids now when they are cleaning. Hopefully, one day soon they will be neat freaks too.

It is funny how thinking about one thing leads to another. There are lots of things we did that we weren't supposed to do. I don't really ever remember getting into too much trouble though. Probably because most of the time we didn't get caught!

Ahhh, time to relax...for now!

Another busy day! I was working along and then my alarm on my phone went off. I had a dentist appointment. (Luckily my phone saved my day, Ha) So I left for my appointment about ten minutes early. I knew I had to update our insurance information, and the sooner I got there, the sooner I could leave. Or not! I got my teeth cleaned and then I got to be the ginny pig on an unscientific experiment. I have a tooth they were concerned about from the x-rays, but had never caused me any problems that I knew of. I was pretty sure it was the tooth next to it that had become sensitive lately, and after the experiment I was right! SWEETS! Ooey, gooey, sweets! It can be the cause for severe pain. So, after I had my teeth cleaned, I got to have a piece of candy. Yum! But nothing happened. So I got a little more and that time the pain came. And sure enough it was the tooth next to the one in questioning! I am not sure exactly what he did to it but something to try to help the pain from coming. And afterwards, another small piece of chocolate candy! Not how about that for a trip to the dentist!!
When I got back to the shop they guys had nicely started moving the rest of my office. Since it was pretty nice out and I knew the snow is supposed to come, I started on my last window. I was out there for 3 hours, not completely finished, but the cold wind made things a little unbearable. The rest will just have to wait for a better day! To my luck, the guys had all my things moved!! This was a relief, especially after climbing sooo many stairs yesterday, I was tired and probably couldn't have taken on such a task 2 days in a row. Tomorrow, B goes to school early for Bigs so I am going to the shop early to put things away. I was so tired after working on the window and up and down the latter that I was just ready to come home. B and I ran by the store to get a few things and then home we came. I had BBQ pork left over in the fridge, so I threw a BBQ pizza together and we had supper.
I had to go show a rental and when Scott came in he had another inquirer. Hopefully we will get it rented and be back to a full house! The boys are out early tomorrow and Nate comes back for his week with us. I have a few things to do at work so hopefully I can get everything in working order before they are out of school.
I can't believe they are talking snow. We just turned in sigh up sheets for baseball and the weather was just getting comfortable. I am always cold or hot, rarely anything in between, so I am not excited about this at all. I am ready to get out and enjoy the warmth of the sun and the fresh air! Oh, well, either way, it will be a great weekend to stay inside and CLEAN!!! Yes, I have officially let things go. Perhaps it is all these late hours working, but things WILL be back to ship shape in no time! It's gonna be a great weekend!

Movin On Up...

Or more like movin on down! I, along with my husband and a few workers moved half of my office today! I am anxious to get it all moved, however it is a LOT of work. I am sure I climbed the stairs 100 times today and walked many miles. I am sooo sore, but it will be worth it as soon as we are finished! I am amazed how much stuff I can fit into small spaces. I knew it was possible after we moved out of the trailer into our house, but never really thought about all I had at the shop. And it all serves a purpose so there is no getting rid of things. I am a little bummed right now that I won't be opening the new shop full of merchandise, but over time things will happen. The shop looks very bare while my offices are full of equipment. It just looks funny not having more in there and the space is quite large so I am going to have to figure something out!
I have spent a lot of time finding displays and researching different products to sell in the store. At this point this week has been much a of a blur and I couldn't really even tell ya what I did yesterday. Monday we had a tornado warning, yay, I hate storms. Or shall I say storms that have anything to do with strong winds or tornadoes. Lightning hit an electrical pole across the street and it took about a half hour to put it out then the cut our power for approx. another half hour to redo the lines. All in the middle of a tornado warning! We have been eating a roast I had cooked on Sunday. This is one time I don't mind eating leftovers. I have been so busy it is nice to have something to eat and not have to cook.
Friday we are supposed to go out to eat for my moms birthday! Hopefully we don't get hit with a lot of snow. Last week was so nice other than the wind, I am wondering what the heck this weather is thinking with SNOW!

What can I say other than it has been a crazy week! I have not only been doing the normal kids off to school, work, home, supper, and bed routine, but also trying to get the shop ready so I can move. It is a LOT of work. And I haven't even really begun yet. I have BIG ideas and not enough time, that is my problem.

I have two of the three windows done, and still trying to decide on my hours.

It took me 3 days of stressful thinking to come up with this logo. I will have been in business for 5, yes, 5 years this August and have never had a real logo. Nothing I ever came up with really seemed to explain what I do and I could never say "Oh, I like this design so much that I would like to have it on everything!" Well, I have just decided that this is bright and colorful and even though it says nothing about what goes on inside the shop, it is catchy! It can be variated several different ways and will work with just about any color scheme I want to do. It will work for shirts, hats, decals, anything. So this is what it is going to be. Simple yet classy! And why does it have to have a graphic that explains what I do, shouldn't the name speak for itself to an extent? I think so! I have a little work left to do on my cabinet I am making over, and the last BIG window, and then a little cleaning and it will be moving time. I am glad I don't have a lot of things to move, but most of the items are big items that will take the strength of several people. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.

Yesterday I was going to do a window up town but the supplies didn't come in. So I called my supplier and he is going to look into what happened. I hate set backs, they seem to mess up my whole schedule, but do to the very windy day we had I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway. So it looks like next week will be a busy week as well.

The boys got their school pics back last week. Every time I switch out pictures in the frames it reminds me that they are getting older and it is amazing the changes you can see year to year, but don't notice on a daily basis. Pictures tell so much more!

They are definitely no longer babies which only means that I am getting older as well! If only I could stay this age forever! Or maybe a few years younger!

Thanks to my husband, we got the garden tilled. I have 1 bag of corn left in the freezer from last year, so I am anxious to get things planted! It was the best corn ever, but due to the long winter and then all the rain, we didn't have much of a crop last year. I am hoping this year will be plentiful! And it saves money at the store, and I have no problem putting in a little extra work, especially in the spring and summer so I can have a tan and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Well, nothing is really going on. B went skating with a friend and Nate is at his moms for the week. Baseball sign up is this week, so it won't be long and the boys will be playin ball! My favorite sport to watch :)

My crazy cat was cryin and so when I went looking for her I found her on top of the cabinets. She wouldn't come down so I grabbed a chair and got up there to grab her. She was very uncooperative but I finally got her down. I am not sure how or why she got up there but like I said she is CRAZY!

HaPpy BiRtDaY MaMa!!!

First things first, Happy Birthday to my wonderful mother!! Thanks for all you do for us and I hope your day went well!!
I must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that I didn't get to bed until after 1 this morning, but I should have known from there that it wasn't going to be the greatest of days. Since today is my mom's birthday, I usually just call her and tell her, but this year I wanted to do something else. So, I called the flower shop and was going to send her a little something but no answer. Ok, the message said it opened at ten, so being that it was about ten til, I waited and then called back. No answer. I waited a little longer and tried again. Same message no answer. And again, no answer. I went on with my jobs for the day, and I decided before I left the shop to go uptown to do a job I would call again, thinking otherwise I would totally get busy and forget. Yes, another sign of getting older, I forget. So I get the message again, and I decided to wait a little while longer and try back. Again no answer. I was mad. Who runs a business like this. Me having my own business was definitely frustrating. I put out my emails, cell, home, and work number even to some customers that I would really rather just have my shop number, but business is business. I can understand not answering the phone once, even twice. I know what it is like to have your hands full and the phone just not close enough, or running a little behind, or even an emergency coming up that takes you right off track and away from your schedule. However, I tried at least 5 times, maybe even more (I lost track), calling at different times of the day, and each time was the same message and no answer. If there was another shop in town, I would have called them, but to my knowledge I only know of the one. How can anyone stay in business running this way. Believe me, I would have been gone a long time ago. Ugh, it just upset me that I didn't get through and there was no other way. Just adding to a rotten day.
On a different note, I am officially moving the shop. I am super excited about this and have LOTS, and I mean LOTS of ideas I want to do right down to the set-up of my offices and show room. I know it will take some time to accomplish all this, and it will be a slow start, but eventually it will be GREAT! I spend all day yesterday painting and have a little touch up to do and then it is on to other things. I have a great idea for a shelf that was already in there, just needs a little work, and I have to put together my design for my window. Then it will be on to moving everything over and hopefully it won't take too long and I will be up and running, hopefully more efficiently and better organized than what I am now. Scot and I are still discussing my hours, I love what I have now 8am-3pm Tuesday through Friday and closed the rest of the week. Appointments for other times for those that can't come in during business hours and no closing for lunch. However, I do realize that the average person works 8-5 and wouldn't make it in. I really don't know how to juggle more than I already have on my plate other than doing a 9-11 on Saturdays or something to that sort, or having a different schedule for winter vs. summer ( winter being kids in school schedule and summer being no school) but I don't want to confuse people either. I need your help, what do you think if you were a customer? I am also looking at cheap ways to display items. there is a pegboard, and a counter/shelf, and I have plans to get a couple clothes racks, but if anyone has any unique tables, hutches, shelves, that your are wanting to get rid of at a cheap price, please let me know. I am going to try to make it up to the used furniture store tomorrow since I didn't make it up there today and see what I can find. Showcases are so expensive, I am thinking about making a few things myself!!!
It was a beautiful day, who could ask for better weather. I went for an awesome walk with a great friend, we walked over 4 miles, and it was nice to talk and get out for a change. Hopefully we will find time to do this more often.

A day at a time

It has been an exhausting week for me. I feel like I was run ragged, running here and there, and doing whatever needed to be done. And it didn't help that the weather was cold and dreary. I hate the cold, I can never get warm enough. What happened to me? As a child you would have seen me running around in snow and frigid temperatures in a t-shirts and a pair of shorts. And we didn't have heat upstairs, so it wasn't unusual to have frost covering the inside of our windows, but there I was dressed for summer. I think it a sign of getting older. I also used to have an amazing skin tone, which is gone now too. I get lighter in the winter and never seems to really darken in the summer. Part of this saddens me as it reminds me much of my dad's side of the family, and most of them are gone. (Sorry mom!) But it is true. I always felt closer to them and like that is where I truly came from. Not that I didn't love my other family as much, but it was just different. I see most of my characteristics coming from Dad's side, right down to my toes!!!
Anyways, it was a hectic week. Between work, and B, parent teacher conferences, and working on my website, I was just tired. Not to mention helping my husband wash a truck, and then last night picking up trash!!! I was disgusted. Horrified. The trash was everywhere. I was amazed that A.) people are to lazy to get it to their trash can so the trash man can pick it up, and B.) that once it hits the ground, everyone just seemed to deem it "our" problem to get it picked up. I was hoping to pick a nice day, get the kids out there, old clothes and gloves, and do a massive cleaning of the park, however, it wasn't in the cards. Scott and I picked up 2 lawn and leaf bags full of trash. We finally had our wonderful trash man bring down a dumpster. We had been pondering the pros and cons of this for years, and finally decided it was a go. We had to many people not paying him to pick up their trash which was half the problem for so much of it laying around. The other reason being we aren't fond of the other trash service here in town, and ours has went above and beyond anything we had seen, picking up whatever it was we set out, and if something fell on the ground, he actually picked it up! I can remember a long time ago, living in the other trailer court before Scott and I got married, and you could always tell which day was trash day because there would be a pattern of trash strewn all through the court of dirty diapers, aluminum cans, milk jugs, and just about anything else that either fell out or they were to lazy to pick up. It was an eye sore among the fact that we had many young children living there including our own.
Another downer. Scott is terribly troubled over the economy. He watched CNN and Fox News constantly. He dwells and stresses and to be quite honest, it tires me. There is never anything good reported in the news anymore, and it's not that I don't want to know what's going on, but I am not going to dwell over something I can't change. There is nothing I can do about fake politicians, or that people are scamming others in a troublesome and trying time. All I can do is work, and take care of the customers I have, and watch my spending carefully. I am not going to sit here and feel sorry for myself because business is a little slow, I can't spend as much as I did before, and I definitely can't spend money on items deemed unnecessary. I, like most people, am stashing what little money I do have for a time I may need it. And I have learned something through all of this. We are making less money now and have more money saved than we have ever had stashed away. It feels great!! It stifles me to think back and try to remember all the wasteful things we must had spend money on. And I can't say I am any less happy now than when we had a little more money in our pockets. The bigger picture is a little scary. I don't want to have to close a business, or lose my house, or the things we have worked so hard to have, but if and when that time comes, there are other options. Maybe not things we want to do, but plan B is sorta in place just in case. I just wish he could see it through my eyes and stop stressing over something we have no control over.
Today we are off for the day. A day of doing not a whole lot really, but just getting out and enjoying family, friends, and the weather that only looks to be getting better!!!

All Tuckered Out!

Been Somewhat of a rotten day. Spent over half my day getting my computer straightened out. I knew something was up last night when I went out to letter a truck and it hadn't shut down, so I turned it off. Today it would start up but then lock up every time I tried to open anything. I finally got it going after arguing with Dell that I have a contract for them to work on my computers 2 more times within the next 6 months. I didn't have my info with me, I didn't think it was a big deal, last time I just had them look it up. This time they couldn't find the info, so they were going to make me pay to have it looked at. No Thanks! So I played around with a few things and finally got it to work right. Not sure what the problem was, but I am still going to have them look at it once I gather up all the info I need to prove to them that I still have coverage left on my plan. It has been a quiet afternoon. I came home, cleaned, worked out, and now fixing supper. B went with a friend and will then go to church and I pick the kids up after church and take them home. It works out great! Once again, I am getting ready to work on my website. Maybe I will finally get it caught up and can have the next few evening off from working!!! And what is up with this weather???? I HATE it! Can't wait to get back outside!! I am getting things ready for a garden again this year. Can't wait to get it going so we can enjoy hopefully a better crop than last year and save some money!!!

what in the heck happened to the warm weather???

Ugh, I hate this weather. Last week was so nice and now I am just COLD! It seems I can never get warm when the weather is like this. And to top it off, I am sooo tired. The dreary weather and the time change has made this a blah week. I have been busy, but it seems like the days drag on and I just have noooo motivation. Such a change for me from last week, and I am not enjoying it at all.
Looks like the Photo Shoot has been moved to Thursday. I am still not totally sure what will happen, so we will just have to wait and see how it all goes.
I have been spending a LOT of time working on my website. I am trying to do a better job of keeping it updated. It is a simple task but very time consuming. Check out all the updates!!
Tonight we went to Nate's PT Conference. It was done a little different this year and he actually had to present the work himself. It was ok, but we basically just looked through some of his papers. We then had the opportunity to talk to his teachers, however we passed as we keep up to date on his work and we pretty well know his strengths and weakness. He has done an amazing job adapting to middle school and seems to only be slacking in a few classes, all of which he doesn't enjoy.
Brennan is participating in raising money for the American heart association again this year through the Jump Rope for Heart. He has done this every year since starting school and this year his goal is $5000. Yes $5000. I see it impossible to raise this much money, but the reward is a Wii and if that is what he wants to try and reach, I say good for him. He had better get busy!
I am looking forward to the weekend. It is supposed to warm up a little. We have plans to meet up with friends again, so hopefully it all works out.
I have pictures to post, however I am soooo tired, I will try to do that tomorrow. Looks like another busy day, somehow, someway, I have got to get some motivation. However, I am not counting on it.

A hint of Green Grass

Last week was absolutely busy and this week is one of the same. Saturday I was up bright and early to clean, clean, clean. I got so much done that hadn't been touched for awhile and I even had a little help :) I have also been working on my website...A LOT. It is a time consuming task, but it is simple and needs to be updated regularly.
Yesterday we were up early again. We were meeting friends for lunch and had to do some grocery shopping. It was a nice day and was much needed to get out of the house for awhile.
I noticed yesterday morning there are a few hints of green grass in our still ever so brown lawn. It was nice to see that it won't be long and it will all be changing over. I did pick up seeds yesterday to hopefully have a plentiful garden this year. Last year wasn't so great as it was cold late and then with all the rain, we had a hard time getting seeds in the ground. Looks like it will be a nice week other than a chance for storms today. Hopefully spring is right around the corner for good.

is there really such a thing as an energy bug??? If so I have it :)

Yesterday was a busy day and today seemed to follow. I started by getting the boys off to school and printing artwork for my husbands shirts I have been promising him for quite some time now. While I was letting the ink dry, I decided to clean my ever so nasty fish tank. Believe me it was gross, algae everywhere, it had only been a few months?! Anyway, I finished that and decided to throw a roast in the crock pot for supper. Scott"s cousin gave me an excellent recipe for BBQ Pork. It is so good, you can forget about the bun! I ran downstairs and burned screens then off running errands I went. Sure enough my screens were dry by the time I got back and away I went on those. Shirts finished about 40 minutes before having to pick the kids up from school, so I started cleaning off my kitchen counters. I am not sure about anyone else, but mine NEVER seem to stay clean. And sure enough as I look at them now, they are cluttered AGAIN!!! After picking up the kids it was more cleaning, homework, chores, and finishing supper; cheesy hash brown potato's and rolls! I figured taxes to pay later in the month and did my workout. Then it was back in the kitchen for supper and my husband must have smelled it cooking because he was home just in time to sit down and eat, Yum!! To my surprise there were lots of Thank You's and no complaints...Amazing!!! I did statements and entered payroll in the computer and then it was time for a little relaxing and a little bit of tv! The boys played until bed and then it was a quick evening from there.

Today I got the boys up and off to school. I ran a quick run to Caseys and then headed to the shop. (and no, I didn't actually run, I did drive) I had a truck waiting for me, Surprise. I guess the company wouldn't give the guy a load until he had his lettering on his truck. This was fine, but I had a list of things to get done ASAP. I did do the job and it only set me back about an hour. I started working on my list when another driver came in with a truck to be lettered. It was either today or Saturday, so away I went. It did not take long to finish this and then it was back to my list. I picked the boys up from school, took Nate to get his papers, dropped Brennan off at city hall, and then back home to get the fire going again. I can't wait for the rest of the week so maybe we won't have to use it as much and it will still be nice and warm inside. We are having leftovers for supper and I guess I am making cookies. Nate came home and said he gets extra credit in a class tomorrow if he brings pop or cookies for the rest of the class. I am thinking if they all do this it will be a class full of sick kids before the day is over. I am a bit upset about the whole idea though. Schools are pushing healthy kids, but we are bringing junk food for extra credit? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but I guess it gives me an excuse to make a batch of cookies which I haven't done for awhile even though I have been wanting to.

The photographer did not show up today after all. Guess he had a busy schedule. It has been postponed til next week, which is great for me. I am working on a hat design and this just gives me more time to make it right before he comes. Whew, did I get lucky!

I hope you all are not tired after reading this. A friend of mine send me a message asking where I got the energy bug? I actually put some thought into it. The last few weeks I was exhausted, but this week I am ready to go!!! Could there be such a thing??? I am not sure but whatever it is, I have it and I feel great!!! I am hoping it is just some anxiety for the great weather that lies ahead!!!!

A little bit hectic and a little bit not

Friday was a very busy day. It is somewhat of a whirlwind of a memory but I do remember I did 2 trucks and finished up some shirts. The truckwash was busy as well, and it was making my task of lettering those trucks difficult. We ended up finishing up the last one at the customers shop, something we hadn't thought of in the beginning. I managed to pick the boys up from school and dropped them off at city hall to play while I finished up my work. We were home long enough to get cleaned up and changed for the visitation. The place was packed, but it was amazing to see all the people there to show their respect for such a good person. Scott's cousin Jenny and her family came over to visit afterwards. It was nice to be able to talk without many other conversations going on around us and the boys played downstairs.
Saturday we were up early. Scott was off to work, while the rest of us were preparing for the funeral. He made it home to get dressed and off we went. Again, the church was packed, and Northridge is a large church. We went to the burial afterwards despite the cold wind and the snow blanketing the ground. Then it was back to the church for a nice lunch and visiting with the family.
We were home after the funeral for a few hours. This gave me and the boys time to do a little much needed cleaning. Then it was off the my niece's birthday party. The roads were pretty well clear except for Old 75. It was awful and snow packed. Again, it was nice to visit with family and the boys love playing with their cousins. They all get along pretty well, only a few times did we hear any complaints and they were minor. We left around 8. I was a little stressed driving home in the dark as there were a few slick spots along the highway, but again it was Old 75 that was terrible. 35 mph the whole way. The boys were even asking how long until we got home. I have never had to take a road so slow and for future references I will take new 75 from Fairview. I didn't want to go out of my way but by the time you factor in how slow you have to go, it would have been much quicker to take the long way!!!
Yesterday was a lazy day around here. Everyone had leftovers for lunch and then the boys went to play at city hall for a little while in the afternoon. Nate had a boyscouts meeting and then it was home and supper. We had brats and mozzarella sticks. Something different for a change not to mention how quick and easy it was. We watched some tv and played many Uno games before the boys had showers and were off to bed.
Monday mornings always come with mixed emotions for me. I hate Mondays. I hate the end to a weekend that was gone way to soon. I do enjoy Mondays for one reason. It is my "day off"(my work from home day). I enjoy the peacefulness of nothing. I can work almost nonstop and have no one coming through my door, or the phone ringing, just me and the felines, and they are no trouble at all. I had better get to it, lots to get done. Plus my husbands shirts that I have been working on for months or more, and I hear about them every Monday. Customers always come first though, but he is getting impatient. I had to explain it to him like this; I would not expect to come stick my Tahoe in front of a full line of trucks and expect you to wash it, so it is the same for me only we are talking about shirts instead of trucks. (I don't think this helped me much though)
Tomorrow is a big day. The photographer is coming for the magazine. I will definitely post tomorrow. I am excited to see how it all turns out and may even spring some ideas for me!!
